In Eastern Kenya, two harvests have already failed due to persistent drought.
Food security is increasingly at risk, and malnutrition is becoming a growing problem.
ChildsLife is working on various food security initiatives in this area, including the kitchen garden program. The program has been highly successful and has provided a healthy food source to many vulnerable women, young mothers, and families since 2017. The kitchen gardens consist of sturdy bags filled with fertile soil and high-quality seeds. They are used to grow green vegetables such as spinach and kale. The harvest, approximately three times a year, supports a family of 6-7 people.
With your help, we can reach even more families!
