Are you an experienced fundraiser and do you have a passion for managing relationships? Do you know like no other how to approach your relations effectively and how to connect partners with the ChildsLife mission? Are you also professional, collaborative and entrepreneurial, and do you enjoy the challenge of working in a small team to achieve great results for vulnerable children? Then we are looking for you!

As a fundraiser for ChildsLife, your core task is to develop, implement and execute the fundraising plan that ensures a solid financial base for our organisation. You work with foundations, equity funds, companies and service clubs. You maintain warm relationships and expand them. You are not afraid to ask the ‘give’ question. In doing so, you align our ambitions and the needs of the partner. You have a commercial eye for opportunities and are ambitious in achieving results.

You are the Director’s sparring partner and work closely with her. You also have a lot of contact with your colleagues in the field so you are always up to date with the ChildsLife programme. We are a small, close team and therefore everyone fulfils multiple tasks. You have besides fundraising also knowledge of marketing and communication. Activities you can think of are the external communication and marketing and you know how to use online opportunities.

• What are you going to do?
  You are instrumental in the development and implementation of a fundraising plan for ChildsLife.
• You guard the fundraising target and work with set financial targets with which you deliver an important support to the ChildsLife programme.
• You focus on the recruitment of foundations, capital funds, companies and service clubs; you look for new partners and use the existing network.
• You research and understand the goals of (potential) partners and can make a link with the
• ChildsLife mission. Therefore you know how to approach them effectively.
• You are the contact for partners and make sure they get high quality reports on time.
• You communicate transparently and in accordance with the financial and programmatic frameworks with (potential) partners in project proposals and reports so that agreements are clear and are met.
• You maintain and expand your network. You visit network events.

• You are outgoing, entrepreneurial and innovative.
• You have a hands-on mentality, you are commercial and you like concrete results. – You have financial insight and a financial drive.
• You have excellent representative, social and communicative skills and can express yourself well in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
• You can work well together and you go for the team interest.
• You have an HBO work and thinking level.

ChildsLife is a compact organization which gives you the opportunity to make a big difference and you have a lot of direct contact with your international colleagues in the field. ChildsLife gives room for development, a lot of personal freedom and independence. You will work together with the director of ChildsLife Netherlands. We offer you a salary based on your experience and 27 days of holiday. You start on a temporary contract, 24-32 hours per week, with the goal to get a permanent contract.
